Arsenic (As) is a chemical element with atomic number 33 and exists in a number of toxic and nontoxic forms. Test is used for detection of acute or very recent arsenic exposure.
Arsenic poisoning symptoms may include vomiting, abdominal pain, encephalopathy, and watery diarrhea that contains blood. If long exposure occurs symptoms may include thickening of the skin, darker skin, abdominal pain, diarrhea, heart disease, numbness, and cancer.
